    Neutral Outlook

I worked at Village School (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overall not a bad place to work. Competitive wages and great benefits, absolutely beautiful area. Strong focus on professional development and many resources for students that public schools may only dream of.

    Cons

There is a certain tension in a private school like this. You get the feeling someone is always looking over your shoulder and judging. There is an image to uphold and it puts the faculty on a slight edge. I also witnessed a lot of blatant nepotism, some very unfortunate promotional practices, and quite a lot of phoney baloney.
