From the principal
Student excellence in academic achievement, sporting prowess and creative arts will provide the confidence and independence our students will need to springboard to success in first class universities and tertiary education around the world.
We have a highly experienced and well qualified team of educators from some of the best schools in Kenya and globally. Our teachers are not only enthusiastic and energized, but are dedicated to supporting academic and personal growth in every individual student they work with. We expect to see the same energy and eagerness to learn and be an active part of the learning process from the students who attend GEMS Cambridge International School-Nairobi.
Parental partnership is a key factor in developing open communication that allow for positive experiences at home and school that form a caring team of adults for children to grown holistically.
I firmly believe that the school and parents not only have the opportunity to make a positive long term impact on each student’s future career, but that we are obligated to guide them to become persons of positive character, with morals, values and generous hearts.

Principal / CEO

The Learning Programme
Little GEMS
Little GEMS International (LGI) at GEMS Cambridge International School is for children from 2 years of age. Little GEMS teachers plan learning experiences that allow each child to ”SPARKLE’’ by providing sensory, physical, auditory, real, kinaesthetic learning experiences.
Early Years
Also known as Foundation Stage (FS), our early years teaching gets children aged 3 to 5 ready to enroll in the British curriculum when they enter Key Stage 1. At this early stage we concentrate on key aspects of your child’s learning journey.
Primary School
This is the learning period our British school in Nairobi describes as “middle school”. Our middle school students will build on the foundations laid by their Foundation and Key Stage 1 years with increasingly advanced teaching.
Secondary School
Years 9, 10 and 11 are the time when your child will need to think about the IGCSEs they wish to take. The qualifications they undertake will be a mix of compulsory and optional subjects.
