When someone’s profile is unavailable on Facebook, this can mean one of a few different things. It could be that Facebook is experiencing an error, that their profile is in the process of being upgraded, or that that they have opted to disable their profile or block you. This can cause problems if you are trying to contact a co-worker or view your business page, especially since the error is not specific. While there is no way to find out for certain what the cause is, the problem will often solve itself in the cases of upgrades or server errors.

Profile Upgrading

Facebook releases periodic updates to profiles, and they don’t always roll out for everyone at the same time. If your profile is working correctly and someone else’s isn’t, it could be that Facebook is updating their profile to the next or most recent version. You can help ascertain whether the problem is with their profile alone by trying to look at other friends’ profiles as well. This process does not usually take long, so check back in a few hours to see if it works again.

Temporary Error

Facebook may experience the occasional error that causes profiles not to load correctly. If it is affecting your profile, you may not be able to log in. If it is affecting someone else, you may not be able to see their profile, and they may not show up on your Friends list either. Most of these errors won’t affect all users simultaneously; if other profiles are still working, this does not discount the possibility of a server problem. If such an error is causing the issue, it should resolve itself within a few hours.

Blocked User

If a user has blocked you, or if you have blocked them, you will not be able to see their profile. If one of you has blocked the other, you will not see their name appear as a hyperlink, but in the event you still attempt to view their profile you may see the “Profile Unavailable” error. Note that the effects of blocking are identical no matter who initiated the block.

Disabled Account

If a user disables their own account, it will not be accessible to anyone, until they re-enable it. For all intents and purposes, the account will not exist — it will be removed from Friends lists, comments will disappear and tags will no longer be linked. If you try to access this profile via a link or bookmark, you will see this error. If the account is completely deleted or banned by Facebook, however, the error will be slightly different, and you will see, “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”

If a user blocks you on Facebook, his Timeline is longer visible to you and his profile does not appear in search results or in friends lists. You cannot send messages or friend requests to someone who has blocked you. Because Facebook makes it appear as if the user no longer has an account on the site, it can be difficult to figure out whether a person has blocked you or deleted his account. If a client, employee or other business contact has suddenly disappeared from your friends list, a little investigating reveals if you’ve been blocked.

1.

Log in to your Facebook account and then enter into your Web browser’s address bar the URL associated with the user’s account. If you don’t know the URL associated with the user’s profile, type the user’s first and last name into the Facebook search bar.

2.

Select “See More Results” if the user’s profile does not appear in the first screen of results. Click “People” in the left column and then enter a location, education or workplace in the area supplied, if known, to narrow the results.

3.

Log out of your Facebook account if the user does not appear in the search results or if the user’s account doesn’t load after navigating to the appropriate URL.

4.

Start a new search for the user in a search engine. If the user appears in the search results when you are logged out, the user has blocked you.

5.

Enter the following search term into Google if the user’s account does not appear after searching Facebook: facebook.

Replace with the first and last name of the user. If the user has a common name, add that person’s hometown or current city to the search string as well.

6.

Open each result in a new window or tab. If you can find the user’s profile in the Google search results, log back into Facebook while on his account page. If an error appears telling you that the user doesn’t exist or if you are redirected to your profile, you have been blocked.

Tip

  • If you have any common friends, contact a friend and ask if he can still view the person’s Facebook page. If he can, you have been blocked.

I found the solution to my problem . Go to your privacy and setting menu bar and enable the option : "Do you want other search engines to link to your timeline?" (Click YES). Now If I enter my facebooks profile link directly into the web browser it shows my profile without any issue.
